Our Nursing Staff
All the nurses at Kedron-Wavell MediCentre have continued their professional development by attending ongoing medical courses, particularly in the areas of wound care, immunisation and continence courses. They are valued members of the KWMC team.
Cathie is a registered nurse at KWMC. She plays a supportive role in our treatment room as well as conducting the practice Diabetic Patient Management clinic. Cathie shares the general nursing tasks with Debbie and Trish, attending to wound care, immunisations and assisting the doctors in minor surgery and patient care.
Trish is a registered nurse at KWMC. She works in our treatment room, caring for our patients and providing support to our GPs. She attends to wound care, immunisations, 45-year-old health checks, and our recall systems. Trish also works part time as a volunteer counsellor.
Sue is a registered nurse at KWMC. She has previously worked as a nurse educator and has a wealth of experience in general practice nursing. Currently she provides a valuable assistance to Debbie by performing in-home health assessments for our elderly patients.
Christine is our specialist mental health nurse. She is able to visit and support those troubled patients needing some extra care. Christine has had a wealth of experience in clinical supervision of mental health nurses. She is completing her PhD, teaches, and holds active positions on numerous nursing councils.
