Immunisations
Once the parent has consented to immunising their child, our staff will perform all routine childhood immunisations with the utmost care and sensitivity. Vaccinations are administered by our competent registered nurses under the supervision of a GP. Routine immunisation visits are bulk billed.
KWMC has achieved a 95% coverage rate for childhood immunisations in those families under our care. We have an effective recall system in place to remind parents when their child’s next immunisation is due.
We also recommend that patients over 65 years of age take advantage of the annual flu vaccinations, as well as the five yearly pneumonia vaccinations. Booster immunisations for tetanus are provided at 50 years of age.
