April 2007
April 1st, 2007Here we are at the quarter mark for the year already! Before you know it the shops will be full of tinsel, and there will be mention of overeating at Christmas Parties!
At the Kedron-Wavell MediCentre we have several different sized appointments to suit many different types of situations. Please note though that a standard appointment is suited ONLY to one issue and even sometimes some issues need to be given a longer appointment. If you’re not sure how long your appointment will take, ask our receptionists who will be more than happy to help you out. Remember if each appointment takes longer than it should, that just means that you will have to wait longer in our waiting room for your next appointment. So please, make sure you book your appointments to suit what you need.
With new procedures from WorkCover Qld no longer does the patient have to pay for the initial visit as now we can now bill WorkCover for the initial consultation should someone have an accident at work. As previously, subsequent visits will be billed to the patient until a claim is accepted by WorkCover, but with the surgery sending the details into WorkCover on the day of the visit, rather than the Employer, the process is much quicker. Remember that most of the subsequent visits can be claimed back from WorkCover. If you have any further inquiries about WorkCover related issues, you can check out their website at http://www.workcoverqld.com.au/ or just ask our Receptionists
Fluvax’s are being given now for the Flu season. Don’t leave it until the last minute, get yours now before it’s too late! Those of us who are over the young age of 65 can get one for free, others if you are interested speak to our receptionists who can organise an appointment for you to get one. Please make sure to mention that the appointment is for the Fluvax.
Wishing you all the best from all the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Kedron-Wavell MediCentre, and hope that you stay well, especially over the Easter break.
